Soto's Optical of Sarasota | Eyewear & Accessories

Walking into their boutique you are drawn to the many trendy displays of fine eyewear.  They also carry La Loop, which is a very cool way to “park” your glasses so you don’t lose them when you take them off.  You can choose from leather or metal chains, which go around your neck and have an “O” made out of metal to hang your glasses from.  They actually come in several price ranges from inexpensive, to precious metal, which are more expensive.  La Loop is presently a fashion rage!

It’s fascinating to look at all the companies from around the world who the Soto’s have incorporated into their stock.   Some are: Zero G Eyewear, Eye Wood Eyewear, Specs 2 C Eyewear, Dolabany, OGI, Kawasaki, Swiss Flex Eyewear, Seraphin Eyewear and Minima Eyewear.  Also, Red Lunettes, Porsche Design, Bevel, Orgreen, Freudenhaus, Beausoleil, and Wiley X, as well as Loree Rodkin, Matsuda, Yabi/art Frames, and Costa del Mar sunglasses.  You would have to travel far and wide to find the selection that is available every day at Soto’s Optical Boutique. For those of you who use ready-made readers, the Soto Optical Boutique carries them in lots of styles and strengths as well as Custom-made dive masks.

Another treat at Soto’s Optical Boutique are the Anuschka hand-painted pocketbooks and eyeglass cases.  They have a one-of-a-kind look and are quite unusual.  Talk about a great gift!  In fact, for those who wear glasses there are many gift ideas you can pick up at Soto’s Optical.   Ron Soto knows that women love purses and shoes, so picking up this line of products has been a success gift!  Some have sterling silver loops with designer finishes.  Check them out yourself, especially if you’re a fashion forward person.

This is a real family business.  Ron’s father had his original store in 1949, then moved to another location in 1958.  As a teenager, Ron would come in and help his Dad after school and learn the trade by watching and assisting..  Ron and his brother each have their own optical business.  Ron completed his 4 year apprenticeship and became a licensed optician around 1980. He puts the frames and lenses together on every pair, which is something he calls “old school” and is another way Soto’s Optical is different from the rest.  His philosophy is “If you do one thing, do it well!”

The hours of operation for Soto’s Optical Boutique are Monday – Friday, 9:30 am to 5:30 pm and Saturday, 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.  Soto’s Optical Boutique is a family-run business with top-of-the-line frames, glasses and accessories that will be fitted to your vision needs, and where you get individual attention to any optical problem or upscale optical product you want to purchase.  Visit Soto’s Optical Boutique soon.  You won’t be disappointed!
